  1. "Tago Mago" is the centerpiece of Can's career, a double CD that still boggles the mind today as it did over thirty years ago. Given the comparatively primitive state of recording technology that existed at the time, the sounds Can created were nothing short of astonishing/5().

Can’s influence has never diminished, and their indelible mark is apparent in subsequent acts who freely acknowledge their importance – from Portishead, James Murphy, New Order, Factory Floor, Public Image Ltd, Mogwai, Kanye West and Radiohead.   6. Tago Mago the first album with Damo Suzuki on vocals, features the Can line up of Holger Czukay on bass, Michael Karoli on guitars, Jaki Liebezeit on drums and Irmin Schmidt on keyboards, and was recorded at Schloss Nörvenich in , released later that year on United Artists.
  7. This is perhaps Can’s finest album. Tago Mago was Can’s third long-player originally released in , and the second album to feature the vocals of Damo Suzuki, who took over from Malcolm Mooney. Generally considered as the band’s best work, consisting of intensely rhythmic jazz-inspired drumming, improvised guitar and keyboard soloing, tape edits, and Suzuki’s idiosyncratic vocalisms.
  8. “Tago Mago” is a landmark album in music history, an LP that redefined the word “Experimental” and Ambition. An essential piece of art in anybody’s music collection, one of those albums no one can live without, after having experienced it.
